YouTube video creation is not rocket science. Long ago, during YouTube’s humble beginnings, its early users only used their respective webcams to create personal videos about their respective interests.

Note that the webcams made back in the day did not provide a very nice video quality similar to what we see today. Back then, even webcams that have a resolution lower than 360p were used to make YouTube videos.

People back then only used videos to express their opinion on a particular topic. There are those who also showed their talent, either by playing the guitar or any other musical instrument. No fancy video equipment was required.

All someone had to do was sit in front of their computer and hit “record.”

With the passage of time and the evolution of technologies, people felt the need to create more exclusive content to have more viewers. Back then, monetizing your videos was still not the “in” thing to do.

The important thing at that time was to get a lot of viewers and, in turn, make the creator of the video famous. Fame was the number one driving force when video monetization didn’t exist yet.

So in their thirst to provide more beautiful and unique video content, video creators used different advanced video recording devices.

Computer webcams that can provide high-resolution images and videos began to be used. Others began to make use of green screens that provide computer-generated backgrounds as special effects for videos that require it.

Also, the use of video editing software started to become a trend. As in major Hollywood movies, video editing was done to ensure smooth transitions between scenes and special effects are applied that create depth.

So how does creating a typical YouTube video go? For starters, it depends on the type of video being made. If it’s a vlog, all you need is yourself and the camera you’ll be using to record.

Vlogs are basically similar to video documentaries that capture a person’s life and other events on camera. Vlogs are similar to reality shows. They don’t need any special effects or any fancy video editing software.

All that was needed was you, your subjects – that is, the people around you, and the raw footage captured by your recording device.

If the type of video you are going to do is a video review of a particular product or service, all you need are high resolution cameras, preferably those that record at 1080p resolution, and the subject of video review .

You may also want to use some basic video editing software to cut out unwanted footage and only highlight particular aspects of the product you are reviewing.

Just record your subject at different angles in the proper lighting while also focusing on the various features it has. After recording the topic, you can double your voice, speaking about the features and benefits of the product so that your viewers know what you are talking about.

Recording YouTube videos is quick and easy. It’s just a matter of deciding what kind of video you want to create, record it, edit it, and then upload it to YouTube for the whole world to see.
