The final prize has arrived at the Pokémon Centers in Japan. Shiny versions (alternate colors) of the Suicune, Entei, and Raikou plush Pokédolls. These three legendary beast Pokémon plushies are absolutely beautiful. They are different colored versions of the original Pokedolls. Suicune has a light blue main color instead of purple, Entei is brown instead of red, and Raikou is orange with a yellow mane instead of yellow with a purple mane. They have a bright different color tag and are absolutely beautiful.

Now the bad news. These three beautiful soft toys are not for sale. They are the top prize in the 2010 Pokémon Center lottery. There are 400 colored marbles that are in a bingo-style machine. When you spend 2,500 yen (about $30) at the Pokémon Center between now and mid-July, you’ll have a chance to win them. The jackpot is a set of all 3 Legendary Beast Pokémon pokedolls.

The lottery consists of 4 marbles of different colors. White, Yellow, Red and Blue Red is the jackpot for the set of 3 pokedolls and there is only 1 red marble out of 400. So your odds of winning are 1 in 400. The blue marble is second place and allows you to choose 1 of the 3 Pokédolls. I’m not sure how many, but I think less than 5 out of 400. Third prize is the yellow marble and it gives you a set of shiny legendary beast charms (alternate color). I’m not sure how many of these are in the pool, but I think less than 10. The last place prize is the white marble and it earns you a shiny legendary beast sticker. The colors of the marbles vary from Pokémon Center to Pokémon Center, but the prizes are the same.

I’ve heard reports that only 250 Suicune, Entei, and Raikou plushies are made. This would appear to be in line with the amounts that have been coming out. I personally spent $2000 and had over 80 tries in the lottery and got 80 stickers. No stuffed animals, no charms, nothing but stickers. It is very frustrating trying to win these beautiful prizes.

I’ve only seen a couple of stuffed animals for sale. Expect to pay nearly $500 for the set of 3, and the price will likely continue to rise as they get harder and harder to find. Considering the demand for these, you will have to be very lucky to get your hands on a set of them.
