Ketan Shah opened this children’s store in Pune on October 21, 2007. Previously they had an imperial menswear showroom here, but due to the encroachment of shopping malls, they decided to open a children’s store.

what you see – The adorable Pebbles board with the slogan – Fashions in the making – and the cute display of stylish clothes invite moms and kids to come inside. Upon entering you see a striking children’s sign just behind the counter.

what you get – The store caters to the clothing needs of children from 0 to 14 years old. They have casual, formal and party wear in western and traditional variety. The ground level stores clothes for girls, while the first level is for boys. Zapp, Weekender, Peppermint, Chase, Vitamins, Tiny Baby Doll, and Infancy are some of the brands available here. Clothing is carefully segregated according to types: jeans, skirts, dresses, party wear, salwar kameez, and ghaghra choli. The posters of the exposed garments facilitate decision making.

They have an excellent collection of trendy clothes. We loved a denim halter (Rs. 475) with a belt and silver laces that could be paired with a white skirt or a pair of jeans. In party wear they have a glamorous sequined peach dress for 765 rupees from Leh Berry. In Indian clothing, most dresses are of the designer variety. These are available in a variety of materials such as shredded cotton, crepe, and tussar. We found a designer piece in black shredded cotton paired with leggings and a wrinkled stole stitched in the highly fashionable Anarkali style. For weddings they have silk churidar kurta and ghaghra cholis with unique color combinations and intricate embroidery.

In traditional clothing, children also have great options. A raw silk kurta with a mix of tussar and dhoti silk along with a stole are available in pink, blue and more. Cotton churidar kurta in a variety of colors like white, beige, orange, blue, black and cream they are priced at Rs 520 and are perfect for hot summers. In casual we realized that the color pink is the new blue for children, since it was dominant here.

This Children’s Clothing store also has a wide variety of jeans, cargo and pants to combine with dress shirts. They have casual outfits and party wear outfits as well. Casually, we liked a yellow t-shirt paired with green cargo from Chase, and at party, his embroidered designer shirts in colors like pink and white on corduroy are good choices. Boys and girls jeans are available for Rs 700 and up. In the formals, we saw an elegant two-piece import suit in white with sequins on the jacket and a satin shirt paired with pants. We also find Superman and Batman costumes here.

Accessories such as caps and a limited collection of shoes are also available. For the rainy season they have raincoats and umbrellas with famous cartoon characters. They have a special collection of Winnie the Pooh slip-ons that are really cute.

For babies they have a special section with products from firms such as Carter, Johnson & Johnson and Pigeon. Includes baby food supplements, cosmetics, accessories (socks, towels, mittens, etc.), bathroom products (soaps, shampoo, bathtub, etc.), supplies (teethers, combs, puffs, etc.) and clothing and underwear . They also have blankets, quilts, pillows and shawls apart from stuffed animals, rattles, play gym etc.

our verdict – The collection is incredibly trendy and definitely not ordinary. The staff is very courteous and very knowledgeable. Every customer seems to receive a glass of water upon entering. Also the space is used well here. Pay and parking facility is available on MG Road.
