Day trips to the rock.

So many things to see and do! How would you prefer to experience the Rock? Here are some examples of how you could spend a wonderful day, whether you’re looking for a fast-paced adventure or a slow, relaxing day exploring. For a slower pace, you can take a cable car up to the Top of the Rock, where you can buy a packed lunch and return again with a hike full of wonders. Another idea is full of shopping, random stops and dolphin watching. A faster pace, to be sure, but it’s a guarantee that you’ll be feeling pumped up and having the time of your life.

scuba diving

Gibraltar has some of the best diving schools in the world. Gibraltar offers dives for inexperienced beginners and expert divers. Equipment rental is available for those who do not travel with full equipment and for those who prefer to bring their own, there are no restrictions on the equipment you can bring to go on a dive. There are also about 30 underwater wrecks for those of you who prefer wreck dives. With the great constant rotation of water, you will be able to experience the waters as a team with marine life.

hunting and fishing

For starters, you can start fishing at The North Mole, a breakwater that sits on the north side of the harbor. Very close are the Spanish borders. It offers waters that are about 30 feet deep to start with, but can go as deep as a hundred feet and in some places a little deeper. You will have the chance to fish for sea bream, sea bass, conger eel, moral eel, mackerel, marlin and bluefin tuna. You will also have the opportunity to catch much larger fish a little further out. Rent a fishing boat to help you catch those bigger fighting fish that will take your breath away.
