The following recipes are the ones you will need to prepare ahead of time to take with you. See below for other recipes you can make while camping.

NUTS MIX

1C cereal granola

1/2 teaspoon salted sunflower kernels

1/2 teaspoon salted roasted soy beans

1/2 teaspoon chopped dates

1/2 teaspoon grapes

You will need: medium bowl, wooden spoon, dry measuring cups, jar. In medium bowl, mix cereal, sunflower seeds, soybeans, dates, and raisins with wooden spoon. Store it in a jar or plastic container with a tight lid. Make 2 1/2 cups.

TRAILSIDE OATS AWARDS

1/2 teaspoon margarine

1/2 teaspoon peanut butter

1C sugar

1C brown sugar

2 eggs

1/4 teaspoon milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tbsp. flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 teaspoons oatmeal

1/2 teaspoon chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon grapes

walnuts

Beat margarine, peanut butter and sugars until creamy. Mix the eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix all the rest. Drop by tablespoons (make small) onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 14 minutes. Remove before browning, bake underneath.

SPASMODIC

3 tablespoons liquid smoke

3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon. season all

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 handful of finely shredded beef or venison

Mix the first 6 ingredients. Add the meat. Put it in a strainer and place it over another bowl to catch any drippings. Let stand 12 hours in the refrigerator. Put the meat on cookie sheets and dry it in the oven at 150 to 200 degrees with the oven slightly open. Heat until all moisture has disappeared from the meat.
