Installing the refrigerator is pretty straightforward. Unlike other appliances, it doesn’t require a lot of connections and setup unless you have a refrigerator with an internet connection device or a built-in water dispenser. However, the procedures are simple to follow.

On the other hand, many things can make or break the installation. There are certain things you can do while installing your refrigerator that can make future work easier. Here are some of the things you can do:

1. I am sure that you have already decided on the place where you are going to install your refrigerator. Install the appliance carefully. Ask someone to help you. But do not fit it well to the wall. Make sure to leave at least 2-3 inches of space between the wall and the back of the refrigerator. Why should you do this?

The refrigerator emits hot air that it collects from inside. For it to blow hot air properly, you need to leave a gap at the back where the coils blow out the hot air. This will allow for adequate heat dispersion. By doing so, you can regulate the temperature inside easily and prevent the machine from overworking your engine.

2. You may want to place a thin mat on the bottom of the machine. The mat will make it easy for you to take out the fridge when cleaning your coils on the back. If you don’t have other people to help you carry or pull the refrigerator, you should consider laying a rug on the floor so that you can easily pull it out. This is also ideal if you have a rough floor surface.

3. Do not plug it in immediately after delivery. Don’t get too excited about using the machine. Most refrigerators need time to rest first after being transported. In this way, the cooling mechanism will not be affected by overwork. Let it sit for about noon. By doing this, you can prevent the machine from being easily damaged in the future.

4. You should install your refrigerator away from kitchen appliances and equipment that produce heat, such as your microwave or gas stove. If your microwave oven is located on the right side of the kitchen, you must install the refrigerator on the other side of the room.

5. Consider the gateway when installing. Open the refrigerator door and find out if you can still easily open and walk without obstructing the refrigerator door. Make sure that you can also easily retrieve the food inside the refrigerator without hitting anything.

You must follow the correct procedures when installing your new refrigerator. Also, use the tips mentioned above to avoid future refrigerator problems.
