Over the past year, leading up to the fall, all sorts of retailers took notice of the trend and went full steam ahead. American Apparel, of course, has a wide range of colors and you’ll be hard-pressed to find one that doesn’t go with your outfit. Although I would like to caution, there is an easy opportunity to get this look wrong. Look for darker tones, air from the side of the class, do not opt for outrageous designs that attract attention. It’s that subtle bit of leg showing that should draw attention, not your bright pink knee-highs with the swirling white patterns.
Overall, Gossip Girl got the perfect low-key, elegant look. Maybe you’re going for a more layered look on top. Don’t show too much chest. The chest and leg make you see one thing, and it’s not fancy.
