Once I was browsing the web and came across a very interesting article about all the popular superstitions that have to do with hair. One of them especially piqued my interest. The author said that, despite common belief, there is no way the moon can influence hair growth, because it simply cannot be, and that these are all grandmother’s tales.

Well, of course, many of the scientists can lead you into long, boring calculations about how this influences that, and whether this influence is generally possible. But let’s take a closer look at this concept.

When I was in high school, my physics teacher showed us a simple formula for how one physical body influences another physical body. Of course, she was talking about really huge planets and bodies. But I can give you three reasons why this law is true for all existing physical bodies, no matter how small, minute, or minuscule.

Reason 1: Everything in the world is interconnected

General science says that each part of the Universe is guided by some laws of existence, and that the world is divided into parts that we see and cannot see. Also, each of us knows that something small creates something big.

In other words, we are all made of particles that we can’t see, and the big world is made of little things in the same way.

Now let’s think about this: if everything is guided by laws, and the big and small worlds are interconnected, then this leads to the conclusion that we, too, are connected with the world and influenced by the general laws of its existence.

Reason one is proven.

Reason 2: Big Little Influences

Returning to my sweet physics teacher, let’s take a closer look at the laws of mutual influence.

Who said that we are not influenced by the planet, Or the planets? For example, there are weather-sensitive people, whose state of health depends on sunny or rainy weather and atmospheric pressure. People are small and the planet is huge, the planet influences people, the big influences the small.

So why does something that is generally and physically possible seem so impossible to self-oriented humans?

Suppose reason two is also proven.

Reason 3: Stars are not just points in the sky

This reason is my final argument for those who know the world spins, but probably don’t believe it.

There is an astronomy and an astrology. Each of these sciences deals with the stars. One predicts the future, the second studies the movements of the planets. Firstly, some of us don’t consider science to be a science at all, secondly, it uses so many technical gadgets and devices that almost all of us believe it. Of course, tabloid horoscopes do not add faith in the correctness of the predictions.

But did you know that the ancient Arabs did long and complicated calculations that were written in separate large books to get the correct future forecast for just one person? These calculations used to take several weeks to complete; they required not only the exact date of his birth, but also the exact day, hour, minute, even second of birth of his parents, some of the relatives, even strangers.

In addition, they took into account the positions of the planets, the Sun, the Moon, the Earth itself. And these positions were calculated in the same way as now modern scientists, using fast computers and the latest devices.

So, as you can see, astrology was once quite an exact, complicated and demanding science that was later abused and misled.

Now we read horoscopes just for fun and we don’t know its true history and nature. To say more, astronomy has its origin in astrology, because the first charts and observations of stars were brought from the Arab countries.

But I will not say that the stars influence our future. What I really mean is that the stars influence our health and mood through their magnetic and physical interconnection with the Earth, which, in turn, influences us directly.

So even if you don’t think the stars influence you, they do influence every part of the world you live in, and these parts, in turn, have a certain impact on you.

Reason three is proven.

When it comes to the waxing or waning of the Moon and its influence on hair growth, their existence is explained by the firm and solid law of nature.

The Moon and the Earth are bound by mutual attraction. The high and low tides of the Ocean exist because the Moon moves towards and away from the Earth in a six-hour cycle. The lunar waxing and waning cycle has eight stages, and this cycle influences the Earth in the same way that the six-hour cycle does.

Also, the Moon revolves around the Earth along an oval orbit, so there are points when the Moon is closest to Earth and when the Moon is furthest from Earth. It all leads us to a complicated eight stage ellipse lunar cycle.

The lunar cycle leads to minor changes in atmospheric pressure and the power of Earth’s gravity. In turn, this affects animal and human health and behaviour. For example, doctors report an increase in epileptic seizures and bleeding ulcers around the time of the full moon.

Gravity is one of the most powerful forces on Earth, so you can’t ignore the Moon.

If we now think more about certain similarities between the natural world and the human organism, we will see that plants and herbs grow better or worse according to the lunar cycle. Also, it is a common practice when coffee traders look at the winter full moon charts to plan their coffee sales in Brazil. The connection between the full moon and plant growth is so well established that it affects investment patterns.

Hair growth is affected by the Moon in the same way as anything else on the planet. When gravity changes, the state of your health also changes. With the lower gravity, even if the change is so small that you don’t feel it, your hair grows more slowly. It occurs at the beginning of the lunar cycle and in its middle, on the full moon.

During the new moon and the old moon, gravity is higher and hair grows faster. Therefore, the perfect time to visit your stylist is between days 3 and 11 of the lunar cycle, as well as between days 17 and 24. Your hair will grow faster during these days.

Even if you do not believe everything said, you cannot deny the influence of gravity on the human organism. Therefore, there really are certain connections and influences of the Moon on hair growth.

Few remember those who expect miracles:

o Changes in Earth’s gravity are very small, so you shouldn’t expect fantastic results.

o If your stylist has a “heavy” hand and your hair doesn’t grow back within two weeks after the cut, you shouldn’t expect miraculous hair growth either.

o If your hair is in bad condition, it will take any opportunity to revive first, and only then will it grow more.

o My last reminder is that if you used to have a short haircut and have now decided to grow your hair long, it will take time no matter when you cut it or who cuts it. Our hair only grows up to 5-7 millimeters per month, and this is a proven scientific fact.

So whether or not you believe that the Moon and hair growth are connected, I would agree that as long as you live on the planet, you will feel, consciously or unconsciously, all the changes and influences made by our planet and its counterparts.
